Desert Medicine Research
Centre is a one of the 32 Institutes/Centres of Indian Council
of Medical Research
(ICMR), an autonomous body under Department of Health Research,
Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to
- Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas.
- Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region.
- Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.
The various posts are to
be filled up on contractual basis (on purely temporary basis).
Project: 1 “Effectiveness of diet and lifestyle
intervention through information Education Communication (IEC) tools with Agan Wadi Centres (AWCs) of Tribal Population
of Udaipur district
of Rajasthan as the centre of knowledge dissemination for hypertension (including hypercholesterolemia and diabetes) risk reduction –a cluster
randomized controlled trial”
POST: Project Assistant
(Two) (One post reserved for SC and one post reserved for OBC)
Salary: fixed emoluments @ Rs. 31,000/- P.M.
Age: Below 30
years
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Life Science subject /from a recognized
university with three years work experience
from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Life Science in the relevant subject.
Tenure: One year
Project: 2 “Improving Health and Nutritional Status of Vulnerable Segment of Population by Implementing Multi-Component Health and Nutrition
Education Intervention as a sustainable model of Intervention- 5 districts of Rajasthan”
POST: Technician-III
(Three) (one post reserved for OBC)
Salary: Rs. 18000/- P.M. (Consolidated)
Age Limit: Not exceeding: 30 years
Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects
and 2 years diploma (DMLT)
or two years field/laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organization.
*B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.
POST: Technician-II (Two)
(One post reserved
for OBC and one reserved for SC)
The Headquarters for one post in DMRC, Jodhpur and another post in MRHRU, Bhanpur Kalan, Jaipur
Salary: Rs. 17000/- PM (Consolidated)
Age Limit: Not exceeding: 28 years
Qualifications: 10th/Matric/High School/Equivalent with five years experience in related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant
area or ITI or National trade certificate issued by National
Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in
relevant trade from a Government recognized board.

will be treated as two years experience and B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.

Project: 3 “Tribal Health
Research Unit” DMRC, Jodhpur
POST: Technician-III
(One) (Reserved for OBC)
Salary: Rs. 18000/- P.M. (Consolidated).
Age Limit: Not exceeding: 30 years
Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects and 2 years diploma (DMLT) or two years field/laboratory experience in Govt. recognized
organization.

POST: Technician-I (One) The post is in MRHRU, Bhanpur Kalan, Jaipur.
Age: Not exceeding
25 years
Salary: Rs.16000/- P.M. (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications: High School* or equivalent
with one years experience in related field from a Govt. Institution or recognized institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant
area or ITI or National
trade certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion
of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
12th Pass in Science Subject shall be treated
as equivalent to 2 years
experience.
Tenure: One year
Nature of Job: To assist in execution of research studies
which will include
field survey also and any other
work assigned.
Project: 5 “Assessment of tribal students
under the Tribal Sub-Plan Districts
of Rajasthan for Sickle Cell Disease
(SCD), Sickle Cell Trait (SCT) and
development of appropriate intervention model”
POST: Project
Assistant - One (Unreserved) Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
Salary: Rs 31,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications: : Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Life Science in the relevant subject
Tenure: 3 Months
Nature of Job: To assist the scientists in the laboratory, to carry out extensive field work and any other work assigned,
as per the requirement.
POST: Technician-III-(Eight) (UR-7,
OBC-1)
Salary: Rs. 18000/- P.M. (Consolidated).
Age Limit: Not exceeding: 30 years
Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subject and 2 years diploma (DMLT) or two years field/laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organization.
*B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience
Tenure: 3 Months
Nature of Job: To work in laboratory, data entry, carry
out extensive field
work and any other work assigned
as per the requirement.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for reserved posts will be admissible as per Govt. Rules in force. Age relaxation can also be considered for deserving candidates on the recommendation of Selection
Committee.

General conditions: The Appointment will be on contract
basis and no other regular
service benefits will be admissible. The candidate will not have any right to claim for any regular employment at DMRC/ICMR
etc.
