WALK-IN-SELECTION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF SECURITY AGENTS ON FIXED TERM CONTRACT BASIS AT VARIOUS STATIONS OF SOUTHERN REGION


Air India Air Transport Services Limited (AIATSL) is looking for bright and energetic Indian Nationals to join as Security Agents on a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 3 years at Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala stations (Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram) of Southern Region.

Walk in selection will be conducted for filling up 107 vacancies as detailed below:-

Candidates with Valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate: 05.01.2017 (Friday) Between 0700 hours to 1100 hours

Graduates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate: 06.01.2017 (Saturday)- Between 0700 hours to 1100 hours



The above vacancies will be filled first from those who have valid basic AVSEC and / or Screener Certificates and the residual vacancies will be filled up from candidates who are Graduate (without basic AVSEC and/ or Screener Certificate).

Separate Selection procedure would be followed for above mentioned two categories of candidates.

Consideration of SC/ST/OBC Candidates will be as per Govt. Directives on reservation of Posts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AS ON 01.12.2016:

Educational  Qualifications:

Candidates with valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate :         

They should possess valid basic AVSEC Certificate and/or Screener Certificate

Candidates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate:

Graduate in any discipline (minimum 3 years duration) from a recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language.

In case of Ex-Servicemen - who are graduate, have a service record of minimum 15 years in the armed forces and who have been honorably discharged from the services during the preceding two years.

Preferable:

  • BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Qualified
  • BCAS Certified XBIS Screener (Valid Certification)
  • BCAS Certified In-Line Screener (Valid certification)
  • NCC ‘B’/ ‘C’ Certificate
  • Knowledge of fire fighting
  • Knowledge in Industrial security
  • Knowledge in disaster management
  • Knowledge of unarmed combat
  • Legal Knowledge
  • Armed forces/Police back grounds
  • Diploma/Certification course in Computers.



Upper age limit : as on 01st December 2016

General : Not above 28 years (born between 02.12.1988 and 01.12.1998)
SC/ST : Not above 33 years (born between 02.12.1983 and 01.12.1998)
OBC    : Not above 31 years (born between 02.12.1985 and 01.12.1998)

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the post, will have to undergo a Physical Endurance Test (PET) comprising running of 100 meters in 16 seconds OR 1000 meters in  4.5 minutes as opted by the candidates, on the same day. A relaxation of 6 seconds will be given to female candidates for running of 100 meters in Physical Endurance Test (PET).

For Candidates with valid Basic AVSEC and / or Screener  Certificate :

Candidates who qualify the PET and are holding valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate would be required to undergo Written Examination with regard to Aviation Security Function Awareness on the same day.

Candidates without Basic AVSEC and / or Screener Certificate :

Candidates who qualify in the PET would be required to undergo a Written Test comprising of Aptitude, Reasoning and a small Paragraph in Hindi or English language  in  order  to   adjudge  their  writing  ability  on  the   following   day.




There will be no negative marking in the written examination.
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement, as on 01.12.2016, are required to WALK-IN between 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs at the venue mentioned above on the following dates:-


Candidates with valid Basic AVSEC and / or Screener Certificate

05.01.2017           - for Physical Endurance Test (PET) followed by Written Test (only for qualifying candidates)

Candidates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate (Graduates / Freshers)

06.01.2017           - for Physical Endurance Test

07.01.2017           - for Written Test (only for qualifying candidates)


HOWTOAPPLY :


Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as on 01.12.2016, are required to WALK- IN with the duly filled Application Form (available on the Company web-site  www.airindia.in) along with all original Certificates/Testimonials in support of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, NCC Certificate, Doctor’s Certificate for height and weight, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC Candidates), Discharge Certificate (for Ex- Servicemen), Experience Certificate and 2 recent passport size photographs. Candidates would also be required to furnish self-attested copies of all the certificates/ testimonials as mentioned above along with the application form. Please note that No original certificate is to be submitted with the Application Form. Although, Candidates are required to bring all Original Certificates for verification purpose only.

Candidates belonging to OBC category, the category certificate should be in the prescribed format including the “Non-Creamy layer clause” issued by the Competent Authority for employment under Government of India and should be as per the Central list of OBC’s published by the Govt of India. Please also note that the validity of the “Non-Creamy layer should not be older than Six (6) months from the date of the eligibility i.e. 01.12.2016 (Format of OBC certificate is attached as Annexure ‘B’).



iii)  A recent (not more than 3 months old) coloured passport size photograph of the full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form.

Candidates are also required to bring an A/c Payee Demand Draft for an amount of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of Air India Ltd.”, payable at CHENNAI, as non- refundable Application Fee (Not applicable for SC/ST/Ex- Servicemen). Please mention your Full Name, date of birth and Mobile number on the reverse of the Demand Draft.


Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies, must walk-in with the completed Application Form routed through proper channel or along with No Objection Certificate from their present employer.
