NARIMAN POINT , MUMBAI- 400021,
INDIA,for recruitment of Machinist
Mechanical (MM) and
Deck Fitter (POM) on
Direct Contract Employment
on SCI’s Owned and Managed Offshore vessels.
SCI has planned
to conduct walk in interview
on 27.09.2016 for recruiting Machinist Mechanical (MM)
and
Deck Fitter (POM) on contract
basis (10 nos. of vacancies
for Machinist Mechanical & 05
nos. of vacancies for Deck Fitter). Instructions to appear for the interview:
The following requisite technical
qualification is required for Mechanical Machinist(MM) & Deck Fitter along
with all necessary certificates
and MINIMUM six months’ rank sailing
experience.
- Minimum 6 months’ sailing experience in last 3 years from date of selection in the rank of Machinist Mechanical / Deck fitter on vessel GRT more than 500.
- Maximum age limit: 45 years for general candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Must have technical qualifications as mentioned below.
- Candidate must be reported well from his previous vessel/ employer.
- Candidate must be medically fit for sea service as per present M.S. Medical Rules 2010.
CERTIFICATES & DOCUMENTS
The following
technical qualifications are required for the Machinist
Mechanical/ Deck fitter
as
per Fleet Personnel
Guidelines:-
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized polytechnic or National
Trade Certificate in the trade of Machinist
Mechanical/Marine Machinist Mechanical or Diesel / Motor Mechanic
or Machinist or Welder issued by National
Council of Training in Vocational Trade, Ministry of Labour, Government of India (NCTVT) or by the Industrial Training
Institute of State Government (ITI)
.
OR
Two years Trade Apprentice certificate from marine workshop
in the trade of Machinist Mechanical or Diesel / Motor Mechanic or Machinist.
Candidate should be
proficient in any of the below.
- Welding and Cutting
- Fabrication and proficiency in fitting.
- Lathe, drill and machine operation.
- Ship related maintenance work.
- Candidate must be in possession of Indian CDC & Passport, which should be valid for at least 1 year from the date of selection.
- Candidate must be
in possession of PAN Card & INDOS NO.
- Candidate must be in possession of Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD) from a DG approved Institute.
Candidate must be in possession of following FOUR mandatory certificates as per STCW 2010 from DG approved Institutes.
- Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting.
- Personal Survival Techniques.
- Elementary First Aid.
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibility.
Candidate must be in possession of Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
course. Otherwise the candidate
has to do this course at his own
cost after selection.
Candidate must be in possession of valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from his native place issued by an officer not below the rank of Superintendent of police. Such PCC shall have been issued within a period not exceeding 3 months prior to the date of selection. Otherwise the candidate has to bring this PCC after selection.
4.0 Other requirements:-
- Must be
in possession of a valid Indian Continuous Discharge certificate (CDC), Passport, Pan Card,
INDOS No., Yellow Fever Vaccination & PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) with
at least one year validity.
- Must have completed all required recent STCW courses and STSDSD from DG approved institutes
- Must have technical qualifications as mentioned above.
- Must be medically fit for sea service as per present medical rules.
- Upper age limit of 45 years for new general candidates, 48 years for OBC & 50 years for SC/ST candidates, subject to medical fitness.
- g. Must be in possession of all required valid certificates for the rank.
5.0 Wage Structure:
The wage structure
of Engine Room Petty Officers
(Machinist Mechanical) & Deck Fitters (POM) is as per the existing
NMB agreement and the same
will be revised
once the new NMB agreement comes
into force.
6.0 Selection Procedure:-
- After verification of all documents in the interview, list of selected candidates will be uploaded on SCI ‘s website and thereafter candidates will be called for a medical examination. Posting of medically fit candidates will be as per the requirement/vacancy on our vessels. The date & time of medical examination shall be intimated subsequent to publishing of list of selected candidates.
